COVID-19 Precautions at Captain's Inn at Moss Landing


At the Captain's Inn at Moss Landing we follow the highest standards for hygiene and cleanliness. This page lists the specific steps we follow to protect our guests.
  • Associate Health and Safety, Cleaning Products and Protocols: Our associates – and their own health, safety, and knowledge – are essential to an effective cleaning program and we are working closely with our team to educate and offer continuous training and tools. 

  • Personal Protective Equipment: Team members are issued gloves and face masks at the start of each shift and are required to utilize their personal protective equipment throughout the duration of their time on the property.

  • Personal Health Monitoring: Prior to arrival at the Inn all employees are encouraged to take their temperature. Employees that show an increased temperature or any other signs of illness are required to refrain from working.

  • Hand Hygiene: Proper and frequent handwashing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses. In our daily meetings, our team is reminded that cleanliness starts with this simple act. It's important for their health and that of our guests.

  • Social Distancing: We are deliberately increasing the physical distance between our associates. In all public areas, we are asking guests to be respectful of each other and our associates by maintaining social distance (6 feet apart).

  • Guest Rooms: We use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms after guests depart and before the next guest arrives, with particular attention paid to high-touch items. All surfaces are cleaned and sterilized with hospital-grade cleaners. Due to State guidance, for the safety of our staff and guests, we are not able to perform housekeeping stayover services during your stay. If you require additional amenities at the Inn during your stay, those are easily accessible in our nearby closet.

  • Public Spaces: We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in public spaces.

  • Back of House: In the spaces where associates work "behind the scenes," we have increased the frequency of cleaning and focusing on high-touch areas like associate entrances, laundry rooms, and staff Kitchen.
